Coronation Street Club

The next meeting of the Coronation Street Club will be held Wednesday March 25, 6:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Centre. We will have a Corrie quiz before watching that night's episode. I have some special prizes that have been donated to the group for the winners!

March Break Programs

The Lincoln Public Library will be offering two fantastic programs for children in Grade 1 and up.

Multi-Cultural Food Fest!

This March Break, cooking instructor Alba Siena will teach us how to make foods from around the world. We will enjoy Mexican tacos, Caribbean fresh fruit kabobs and St. Paddy’s Day mint chocolate shakes. We’ll listen to some tales from near and far and decorate our chef hats too!

Passport to the Past

Join us as we explore the cultural roots of the settlers to the Niagara region. Miss Sylvia from the Jordan Museum will help us experience the pioneer way of life with the stories, crafts and activities that the pioneers brought from their countries of origin.

February Book Group

The Lincoln Public Library Book Group will meet Thursday February 26, at 1:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the Fleming Library. We will talk about current reading and future readings.

Registration for the Winter Session of the Library's Preschool Programs begins January 12 at 10:00 a.m. at both library locations.

Users fees for Grimsby and St. Catharines Residents

The Lincoln Public Library Board has approved an annual non-resident fee of $35 for St. Catharines and Grimsby residents beginning January 1, 2009.

This decision was made after the St. Catharines and Grimsby Public Library Boards turned down the Lincoln Public Library Board’s request for reciprocal or free borrowing for Lincoln residents at their libraries.

Residents of Grimsby and St. Catharines are encouraged to contact their ibraries to reconsider reciprocal borrowing with Lincoln.

Residents of West Lincoln will continue to receive free library privileges under a reciprocal borrowing agreement.

Coming Soon - Nintendo Wii!

The Lincoln Public Library is adding an exciting new program to its lineup - Nintendo Wii!

The Library is planning on starting two bowling leagues in the new year - one for teens and one for seniors.

The Lincoln Public Library's locations will have a reduced schedule over the holiday season:

December 24-26: Closed
December 27: 10:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.
December 29-30: Regular hours
December 31: Close at 5:00 p.m.
January 1: Closed
January 2: Back to regular schedule

PA Day Movie Afternoon

The Lincoln Public Library is hosting a PA Day holiday movie afternoon on Friday December 5 from 1-3 p.m at the Fleming (Beamsville) Library.

Two neighbours compete with each other to see who has the best outdoor Christmas decorations in this holiday classic.

Lincoln Public Library Holiday Open House

Bring your family and friends for some holiday cheer on Saturday December 20 from 1 - 4 p.m. at the Moses F. Rittenhouse Library in Vineland. Children will create a Christmas craft and everyone can join a sing-a-long with Mendelt Hoekstra.

Non-perishable food items for Community Care West Niagara will be gratefully accepted.

Service Disruption

There will be no Internet, online catalogue or circulation service at the Moses F. Rittenhouse Library (Vineland) on Saturday November 15 for computer changes. There will be a short disruption at the Fleming Library (Beamsville), but Internet, online catalogue and circulation service will be available most of the day.

The Lincoln Public Library apologizes for the inconvenience.
