Anime Club for Tweens & Teens

April is Anime Month!

Are in your grades 6-12 and love Anime?

Then this Monday Afterschool Club is for you!

Come out and meet other Anime Enthusiasts from 3:30-4:30pm!

Here is a list of topics we will be offering.

April 7 - All About Manga & Anime
April 14 -  Let’s Draw
April 28 - Candy Sushi

 The fee is $5 for all  three sessions
The program is held at Fleming Library, 4996 Beam Street, Beamsville

Story Hour


Story Hour is a program filled with stories, rhymes, games, songs, crafts and more. Each week there is a different theme which is reflected in all aspects of the program, even in the show and tell. Children ages 3 to 5 years are introduced  to books and stories in a classroom like setting. Gross motor and fine motor skills are addressed in all the sessions.

Simple concepts such as letter and number recognition and a love of books are taught by Miss Leanne in a fun and creative way.
 
We ask that the caregivers to please remain in the library during the program.
 
This 8-week session is offered at both library locations from April 2- May 21. Please register, there is $16 fee.  There are spaces still available at both locations.
 
Wednesday, 10am -11am, Fleming Library - 4996 Beam St. Beamsville
Thursdays, 1:30pm-2:30pm, Moses F. Rittenhouse Library - 4080 John Charles Blvd. Vineland

Tales for Two


TALES FOR TWO

A time for your child (20 months -3 years) and yourself/caregiver to come to the library and discover books, songs, felt board stories and more. This fantastic program, taught by Miss Leanne, explores all aspects of literacy in an entertaining  and imaginative manner.
 
The spring session runs on Tuesdays from April 1 - May 20th at the Fleming Library, 4996 Beam Street, Beamsville.
The fee is $10 for the 8-week session. Please register. There are spaces still available.

Spring Programs 2014


BABIES & BOOKS

Introduce your baby to stories, songs and finger plays. Miss Jennifer takes you and your baby (6-19 months) on an adventure of fun and magical times. Find out about teachable moments during this special program.

 This session is open to parents, caregivers, grandparents, aunts, uncles and babies beginning Mondays, 10-11am at the Moses F. Rittenhouse Library at 4080 John Charles Blvd. Vineland. The program runs from March 31 to May 12. There is a $12 fee for this 6-week session. Please register. There are still spaces available.

An Invitation to "A Taste of Our Town"




The Library Fundraising Group invites you to attend its signature event – "A Taste of Our Town", in support of the "Our Town, Our Time" Capital Campaign.



The event will be held on May 3, 2014, at the Twenty Valley Golf and Country Club, and will include a dinner and silent auction.



There will also be a dance, featuring the music of the George Lake Big Band from Toronto.

The title sponsor for our event is Hopkins I.D.A. Pharmacy from Vineland, in celebration of its 65 years serving the Town of Lincoln.



Tickets are $100 each, or a table of 8 for $750, and will be available shortly.

Cocktails will begin at 5:45 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.

Winter Registrations are on Now!

The Lincoln Public Library is taking registrations for the winter sessions of the following programs: Babies and Books, Tales for Two, Preschool Storytime, Terrific Tuesdays for 5 to 8 year olds , Saturday Morning Craft Club for 9 to 12 year olds, Snowman Craft Club for Teens, Murder, Mystery and Mayhem Club for Teens and Drama Club for Teens.

Lincoln Winter Scenes Notecards

Just in time for Christmas!  The Lincoln Public Library is selling beautiful notecards with Lincoln winter scenes taken by library staff member and photographer James Wagner.  All proceeds from the sales go to the 'Our Town, Our Time" capital fundraising campaign for the new Town of Lincoln Community Complex.

Local History Talks

Join us at the Jordan Museum Schoolhouse this Saturday, May 4, at 10:00 a.m. to learn more about Lincoln's agricultural history. Dr. Helen Fisher will be discussing Grape Cultivation and Linda Crago will present an overview on Heritage Seeds.  In addition, Veronika Reiser from the Lincoln Public Library, will show some images from the Library's digital collection on our agricultural past.

March Break Programs

The Lincoln Public Library is offering a number of March Break Programs for all ages from preschoolers to teens.

Celebrate Family Literacy Day with Grace the Dog

Celebrate Family Literacy Day on January 26 at the Lincoln Public Library in Beamsville with a very special guest.  Grace is a trained therapy dog who loves to listen to great stories. 

In order to accomodate Grace and her reading friends, it is necessary to set up an appointment between 1:30 and 3:00 p.m.
